BUIC faculty, students visit D.G. Khan Cement

ISLAMABAD: Students of MS Project Management Department of Management Sciences, Bahria University, Islamabad visited D.G. Cement on an Industrial tour.

The students were accompanied by members of faculty Mr. Sabir Ali and Mr. Salman Tahir. The students and members of faculty were given a detailed briefing regarding the operations of the plant by the D.G Cement officials. They were also given a tour of the D.G Cement factory where students witnessed the various stages of production.

The students also presented shields to D.G. Cement management and members of faculty for facilitating and organizing the tour.

It is pertinent to mention here that D.G. Khan Cement Company Limited, (DGKCC) is amongst largest the cement manufacturers of Pakistan with a production capacity of 22,400 tons per day (6.72 million tons/annum). DGKCC has four cement plants, two plants located at Dera Ghazi Khan, one at Khairpur Distt. Chakwal and one at Hub Lasbela District (Balochistan). All the plants are based on latest Dry Process Technology.
