Dir madrassah blast needs a probe

By: Asem Mustafa Awan

The pictures display the resolve of the people who despite having nothing are an embodiment of valor and fearlessness.

Dir Madrassah, Peshawar was  the recent target of the terrorists  where 8 innocent students were martyred  with over 100 injured but the resilience from the students and scholars is heart-warming as everything was in place in four hours.

The next prayer Dohar after the killer blast was offered on time and without delay.

Many reports were suggested and the terrorist activity was linked with sectarian violence but nothing is conclusive as mystery shrouds the blast.

According to reports a man placed a bag at 8 in the morning and left the place and what happened after was the blast, as the students were all reciting the holy Quran.

The class at that time was of the older students while the younger students were filling in afterwards and hospital reports state 50 young students were treated with emergency care.

The pictures display the resolve of the people who despite having nothing are an embodiment of valor and fearlessness.

The blast couldn’t deter the resolve of the people who despite losing the students and teachers made it a point to hold the next prayer to send the message globally ‘come what may- we are what we are’.

They are not funded from the government rather people and philanthropists assist them in their running. This had caused enough heartburns for people who had issues with ‘religion’ and were hellbent in branding them as ‘terrorist factories’ which was totally farce. Former Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan is on record at the floor of the house that these ‘madrassahs have nothing to do with terrorism’.

Army Public School massacre; How did it happen? The reasons behind it? Who was responsible? All these questions ended with some answers.

This Dir Madrassah blast should also be investigated thoroughly to get the answers.
