Fauji Foundation held cake cutting ceremony to mark International women’s day

Rawalpindi: Fauji Foundation held a special cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate with International Women’s Day 2020 at FF Head Office in Rawalpindi on Monday. The ceremony was aimed to encourage women employees for actively participate and contribute for development of nation. For the women employees, the day began with flower and greeting card by Managing Director Fauji Foundation.

In his message, MD Fauji Foundation, Lt Gen Syed Tariq Nadeem Gilani (Retr) HI (M), appreciated and acknowledged female staff’s contribution to make FF an enabling organization for women.

Speaking on the occasion, Foundation Secretary Brig Asif Ali (Retire) congratulates women staff on the day and informed them about importance of women in work place especially in health and education system of FF.

Fauji Foundation is not only providing job opportunity to over four hundred thousand widows of ex-servicemen of armed services but also enabling them through education and technical training for sustainable income generating means for respectable livelihoods. Among 9.4 million FF beneficiaries, over 80% are women who live across the country including far flung areas of Baluchistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Foundation Institute of Technology (FIT) is another initiative focusing on women beneficiaries by acquiring and imparting technical education including DAE, long and short courses in fashion designing, beautician, stitching, cutting, cooking and computer skills. In addition, to provide better earning sources for financial support, FF distributes free of cost sewing machines to widows of ex-servicemen.

The ceremony was graced by all the directors of FF who shared their thoughts on how women are the real architect of the society.
