I want to highlight the major issue which mostly no one thinks about, that is career opportunities for Disabled people. In Pakistan employment opportunities for people with disabilities is lacking. It is because companies give preference to physically and mentally fit people on disabled people.
They deserve to be treated equally as others, they should be provided equal career opportunities. Permanent employment for a person with a disability would mean so much. It would mean they’d feel productive, that they can share their many abilities with their employers, they’d be loyal to their employer and less likely to leave than someone who doesn’t have a disability. It would also help the local economy as a person with a disability would have money to spend. This, in turn, would help create spinoff jobs as well.
I hope that the government will do something about this and give the disabled people equal rights like others.
