KARACHI: Rotaract Club of Karachi Karsaz organised a Health Camp for special children on Saturday, 26th of January’2019, at Markaz-e-Umeed.
The camp titled ” Health Camp for Special Ones ” was organised under the leadership of President of Rotaract Club of Karachi Karsaz and conceder of Rotaract Medical Chair for District 3271, Dr. Zunaira Akram.
The thriving camp started with a propounded Polio awareness session among kids of Markaz e Umeed by Rtr Maryam Inayat, where the children were awaken regarding baleful Polio through a short story of a child and her grandmother, for making Pakistan win against Polio like other victories.
After the session, students were affianced by a general Medical and Dental check-up team, and Parents were given a very informative and considerable session on Food and Nutrition, by PhD Scholar and an expert mother, Dr. Aisha Noreen. She discussed the basic difficulties that are encountered by a mother in convincing a child for healthy food and gave some substantial advices as well as alternatives for wholesome snacking.
The session was facilitated by President of the club, Dr. Zunaira Akram, where she also discussed the health related issues a child faces, and gave solutions regarding the issues. She also encouraged parents The session ended with an interactive question answer session, where many parents discussed their queries with both doctors and seek for their solutions.
The activity was continued by a perspicacious educational psychologist, Mrs. Awaisha Inayat, where she did one on one counseling of parents and motivated them regarding the abilities their children had. She also listened to the problems of the concerned parents and convinced them with expert experienced based advices.
The overall activity was highly appreciated by the children, their parents, and representatives of “Markaz-e-Umeed”.
