Anticipation and suspense are two of the key parts of a successful thriller. The heightened excitement and the edge of the seat experiences drive us towards this genre either through books or movies. Each year a plethora of thrillers are delivered to us fans and we await excitedly to experience diverse stories and unique characters through the cinematic universe.

Here are few of the thrillers that might pique your suspense addict mind:

  1. Glass | Release Date: 18/Jan/2019 | Cast: James McAvoy, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, Sarah Paulson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Spencer Treat Clark, Charlayne Woodard

M. Night Shyamalan known for his thrillers returns with Glass. This will be the sequel for the previously released movies Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016). James McAvoy will be reprising his role from Split; an individual with 23 different personalities and superhuman strength.

  • The Intruder | Release Date: 26/Apr/2019 | Cast: Dennis Quaid, Michael Ealy, Meagan Good, Joseph Sikora

Dennis Quaid plays a homeowner who’s reluctant to part from his property even after selling it to a married couple (Michael Ealy & Meagan Good). His stalker-like behaviour and the constant invasion of the couple’s personal life takes a violent turn. After playing the good guy for quite a while, Quaid will be taking over the role of the antagonist this time.

  • John Wick 3: Parabellum | Release Date: 17/May/2019 | Cast: Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Ian McShane, Ruby Rose, Common, Lance Reddick, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Jason Mantzoukas, Anjelica Huston

John Wick fans will be surely delighted to know that the ex-hitman will be back with his lethal skills and a bounty on his back. We will be seeing some of the previous cast reprising their roles, whereas Halle Berry will be the new addition to this movie franchise.

  • Ad Astra | Release Date: 24/May/2019 | Cast: Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Donald Sutherland, Jamie Kennedy

This Sci-fi/thriller is the story of Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) a space engineer with a mission to track down his missing father in space. Roy’s father (Tommy Lee Jones) went missing two decades ago, during an expedition to Neptune in search of alien life. During the journey through space, Roy discovers hidden truths that might even threaten our planet.

  • Once Upon a Time in Hollywood | Release Date: 26/Jul/2019 | Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Tim Roth, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Madsen, James Marsden, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, Emile Hirsch, Damian Lewis, Clifton Collins Jr.

Quentin Tarantino will be back with this amazing star cast and will take us back in time to the 1960s. The backdrop of the story is the infamous Manson Murder’s. Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio will be essaying the roles of a former Western star and his stunt double during this reign of terror.
