Young Pakistani bags Vladimir Putin Presidential Award

ISLAMABAD, 11th January, 2019: Young Pakistani activist Danyal Hayat received Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin Presidential Award in recognition of his services for the World Festival of Youth and Students 2017. The award ceremony was held at Russian embassy in Islamabad, where the award was handed over to Danyal Hayat by Ambassador of Russian Federation to Pakistan Alexey Yureivich Dedov and Counselor Sergei Baranov.

The award was given as an acknowledgment of young Danyal’s services for the World Festival of Youth and Students 2017 and for the efforts he made in strengthening the bilateral relations between Russian Federation and Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The award consisted of Golden Token with emblem of ‘Dove of Peace’ designed by Pablo Picasso during 2nd World War in Berlin in 1951 and letter of appreciation signed by Russian president Mr. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

At the ceremony Danyal shared that following the World Festival of Youth and Students 2017, he has been entrusted with the honorary position to spearhead Future Team Pakistan, a platform through which he has engaged hundreds of young leaders, civil society members, parliamentarians, journalists, athletes, bureaucrats and artists in various youth leadership, economic, cultural and governmental forums including high level political forums in Russia. To name a few – International Youth Ministers Meeting, Russia Land of Opportunities, observation of Russian Presidential Elections, Saint Peters-berg International Economic Forum, Yalta International Economic Forum, International Forum for the Development of Parliamentarism and International Volunteer Forum etc.

Danyal pledged to continue working for the youth of Pakistan and towards portraying the soft image of Pakistan internationally by presenting its best face to the rest of the world.
