We must know what is driving us and why are we working so hard. That’s what I explain as finding your purpose for being here. We all have dreams and all of us want our dreams to come true. To me it’s important to find out the reasons for those dreams. Reasons for what you want to have and why necessarily do you want to achieve it.” Your why is closely tied to your purpose in life.

It’s very strange or I must say awful that most of the time we are in motion through life without any real purpose of our own. Sometimes we achieve enormous things and have the outer shell of having a wonderful life. We may even have everything we could ever want and be successful. But, as many who have already achieved success will tell you, you can still feel unfilled inside and your life can still not have real meaning. For instance I say you become famous, you have lots of luxuries, you become number one in your area of expertise or you become so rich that is beyond your imagination. What If you have achieved so much in life? Achievement, wealth and recognition itself are useless if they do not answer the above asked question. Why? Because the reason for doing something is in the end more important than what is done. Each and everything in this world has a purpose in life. We may take the example of ants, bees, birds and every other living thing. Each performs its own little part in the delicate architecture of life.

As we all know humankind is the supreme of all of the nature wonders. Why are the majority of them so purposeless in their life? The Roman emperor and philosopher Marcus Aurelius asks: “Everything, a horse, a vine, is created for some duty…For what task, then, were you yourself created?”

A considerable number of people in this world exist only to exist. It may sounds a bit funny to you but we live year in and year out as though living itself is our ultimate goal. We feel satisfied only by earning so much so we can get through the next year effortlessly. Sorry but I don’t agree to such idea of life. Surely, there is more to our lives than that? How can something so wonderfully made and gifted with potential as you are simply be here to just exist? What is your input to the world? Is your being here making any difference? We undoubtedly have to say yes there is a purpose of our life which is much more significant in contrast to what we are doing now just to live life as it is. To come to a decision that there is a purpose to your life you may find out more easily the purpose of life. Without this decision being settled in your mind you will wonder through life like 97% of everybody else out there: busy achieving nothing.

This will place you on the right track and make your mind more friendly and ready to see every day things in a new light. However, you have to seek out the answers. Read books that make you think, spend time with the right people, and expand your interest for the most important thing in life reading The Quran habitually. This will keep your mind in the right direction, the direction that is correct for revelation and inspiration in your life.

By working on everything I have elaborated to you in my above study you are certainly going to end up living a pointless life. One part at a time the mystery of why in your life will be clear and complete. You will discover your purpose, and when you do, it will probably not be the experience where you got hit on the head and nearly knocked out by the revelation. It will come naturally. It will be something that combines most of your abilities into one ideal purpose. It will be something you probably had a clue about all along. But keep one more thing in mind don’t ever commit a blunder of wanting to know everything before you start anything. Start where you are with what you have. Take the first steps and you will be on your way. If you follow the process you will become a person you are meant to be. You will fulfill your purpose. You are all you can be. Go on and be it.

Leo Buscaglia stated that “It’s not enough to have lived. We should be determined to live for something.By creating joy for others, sharing what we have for the betterment of (man)kind, bringing hope to the lost and love to the lonely.
