Youth Advocacy Network appoints Qasim Farasat as Global Youth Envoy

LAHORE: Youth Advocacy Network, a national youth-led organization, has announced the appointment of Mr. Qasim Farasat as Honorary Global Youth Envoy. The new role seeks to foster cooperation between YAN and younger generations in relation to Youth Empowerment by enabling Youth Leadership.

Fsahat Ul Hassan, Chairperson YAN, said, “We live in the decade of action, and collective effort is required towards achieving inclusive societies and addressing the needs and aspirations of our Youth, and the future leaders of our world. As a Youth-led organization in the development space, we have a responsibility to give Qasim and his peers an opportunity to be part of the solution in relation to inclusive and well-represented societies.”

Qasim, a dual-national of Pakistan and Canada, is the elected executive of the Commonwealth Youth Council and is working with the Governments of Pakistan and Canada on promoting Youth leadership platforms and processes for inclusive decision and policymaking, nationally and internationally
