Italian Airline ‘Neos’ soon to fly in Pakistan

LAHORE: After Fly Jinnah stepped in to Pakistan’s domestic air boundries, Neos an Italian air carrier will soon be starting its flight operations from Milan to Lahore, Pakistan.

The cost of a one-way ticket from Lahore to Milan will be under 100,000 PKR or 400 Euros. Neos will run two flights each month From Lahore airport.

However, due to the shutdown of Sialkot Airport, SalamAir, an Oman-based airline, has shifted its flight schedule to Lahore Airport.

As of right now and through December 20th, SalamAir will fly to Musqat from Lahore airport. The administration of the Lahore airport has made all required preparations for this shift.

The COVID-19 pandemic devastated the travel sector in 2019, however this week, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) disclosed that airlines are anticipated to generate profits in 2019.

By 2023, after decreasing their losses, airlines would generate net profits of $4.7 billion, according to IATA. The $26.4 billion profit the sector reported in 2019 before the viral sickness led to governments establishing travel restrictions is still a long way off.
