PTI Chief Blamed for Negative Influence on Youth and Politics

By: Muhammad Hammad

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif asserted on Sunday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader bears responsibility for fostering negative trends among the youth and in politics within Pakistan.

During an interview with a private television channel, Asif highlighted that the PTI chief had propagated a culture of vulgar language throughout the four-year tenure of the PTI government.

He further stated that PTI leaders were involved in attacking national institutions, including security forces. Asif emphasized that the government would take appropriate action against PTI workers and leaders found guilty of crimes in the May 9 incident.

Responding to a query, Asif revealed that the PTI chief had given the order to dissolve the assemblies in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also criticized the PTI leader for refusing to fulfill the role of opposition leader after the dissolution of the assemblies. Asif attributed damage to the economy during the four-year period to the PTI leader’s actions.

Regarding the upcoming elections, Asif expressed that the coalition government’s tenure would conclude in one month, following which a caretaker administration would facilitate the holding of general elections. He expressed hope that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would emerge victorious in the next elections with the people’s support. Asif also pledged that, upon forming the government, the PML-N would continue to prioritize public welfare projects under the guidance of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif.
