Spreading the colours of Dhanak & marking new year, Radio Pakistan organises first of it’s kind musical evening in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, 2th January, 2019: To welcome the year 2019 in a youthful way, Radio Pakistan’s premium music channel ‘Dhanak’ set a musical event at Radio Pakistan’s Head Quarters in Islamabad.

The musical evening witnessed classical, folk, Ghazal and Hip Hop performances by artists from different parts of the country.

Secretary Information and Broadcasting and Director General Radio Pakistan Shafqat Jalil graced the occasion as chief guest.

Addressing to the jam packed audience, Secretary Information and Director General Radio Pakistan Shafqat Jalil said Radio Pakistan is providing information, education, and entertainment to the masses in the best possible way. He also appreciated the organisers of the event include Program Controller Farah Naz, Producer Saira Iqbal, Producer Bilal Ahmad Rana, Waseem Iqbal and others.

Shafqat Jalil said Z.A Bukhari Auditorium and Mehdi Hassan Hall will be renovated to promote culture of the country through different cultural events. He assured that every effort will be made to strengthen Radio Pakistan and to regain its real glory.

On the conclusion of the function, the Information Secretary distributed shields and awards among the performers.

The performance of renowned singers Aman Khan, Meena Gul, Shiraz Ahmad and other young singers enthralled the audience.  The musical event was broadcast live from FM-94 Dhanak and FM-101 network of Radio Pakistan.
