Lisbon: If you look into last 20 years all the technological developments have been brought by young entrepreneurs and it is the responsibility of the governments around the world to support youth in their initiatives, we in the leadership of Imran Khan introduced first ever strategic road map for youth of the country. This was said by Mr. Usman Dar Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs who was speaking in Lisbon, Portugal during ‘World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth 2019 and Youth Forum’

‘Young people are more committed today to work for the society and governments’ around the globe should support youth to bring significant changes’ Dar added

The side event of the conference with the theme “Youth and Governments Working Together To Achieve Peace and Security For Sustainable Development” was co-hosted by Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum Euro-Asian Regional Center – ICYF-ERC and Youth Advocacy Network Pakistan in which Mr. Usman Dar SA to Prime Minister of Pakistan on Youth Affairs, Mr. Farhad Hajiyev Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport (Azerbaijan), Ms. Cristina Andronic, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports (Romania), Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director General of ICYF-ERC, Ms. Wajiha Haris, President of Scheherazade Foundation (Romania), Ms. Tangsholpan Zhauynbay, Advisor on Youth Projects at “Jas Otan” (Kazakhstan), Mr. Qasim Farasat Asian Representative Commonwealth Youth Council and Mr. Fsahat Ul Hassan Board Member ICYF who joined the panel virtually from Lahore. The session was moderated by Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director General of ICYF-ERC.

The session concluded with a consensus that it is the time to invest in young people to have a brighter future and everyone should take measures in their respective countries to bridge the gap between governments and youth to achieve peace and security through sustainable development.
