OIC Youth Day celebrated

LAHORE: The world’s Muslim population is expected to increase by about 35% in the next 20 years, rising from 1.6 billion in 2010 to 2.2 billion by 2030, according to a research, and this call for investing on Muslim youth to be productive. Youth Advocacy Network (YAN) celebrated OIC Youth Day 2019 where it discussed about role of young people in creating enabling environment in Muslim World.

CEO & Board Member of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) from the Eurasian Regional Center (ERC) , Mr. Fsahat Ul Hassan shared the updates and ways of meaningful engagement of youth through platform.

A panel discussion moderated by Danish Tariq was also set up which was joined by youth activist Akhtar Hussain, Human Rights Activist Saro Imran and founder of
Mashal, Laraib Abid.

The speakers stressed the need to engage youth in productive activities along with providing skills based education to compete the world.
