16000 Babies To Be Born on First Day of New Year

On the first day of the new year, more than 16,000 babies are expected to be born in Pakistan, the International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) says, making up 4% of the total number of children born worldwide.

Today, people around the world will not only celebrate the New Year, but also welcome the younger guests who come to their homes.

According to the UNICEF report, on the first day of the year 2020, there are expected to be 33092 thousand children worldwide, out of which 16 thousand 787 babies are expected to be born in Pakistan.

Of the total number of children born globally, half will be in eight countries and Pakistan is fourth, while India will have the largest number of children on the first day of the nine years.

According to the UNICEF, on January 1, births of 67 thousand 385 children in India, 46 thousand 299 in China, 26 thousand 39 in Nigeria, 13 thousand 20 in Indonesia, 10 thousand 452 in the United States, 10 thousand 247 in Congo and 8 thousand 493 children in Ethiopia, are expected.

It is thought that in 2018, 2.5 million children died in the first month of their birth.

Most of these deaths are due to premature births, complications of birth and infections such as pneumonia that violate their basic right to survive.
