Educational scholarship seeking transgender Dolphin gets the assistance from Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal

ISLAMABAD: M.D Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal has announced to provide educational scholarship to Maheen Muhammad also known as ‘Ayan Dolphin’ a transgender who had sought help from Prime Minister Imran Khan for her higher education. Dolphin sought the help of the government through social media to continue her engineering degree from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar.

Listening to the appeal of Dolphin, Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal (PBM), Aon Abbas Bappi announced that Dolphin will be provided with all the required financial assistance to carry out her dream of getting the higher education. Aon Abbas said, he hopes that Dolphin will be a role model for her community after getting the education. “All the funds we have in PBM belongs to the public and it’s our obligation to spend this money on our citizens without any discrimination,” Aon said. Imran Khan’s government is not only supporting women and men of our society but also to the most neglected class (transgender) of our society, he added.

“PBM is trying its best to help the citizens of Pakistan without any discrimination on the bases of caste, creed, religion and sex,” said Mobasher Hasan, Deputy Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal.

Dolphin Ayan, after getting the financial assistance for her education thanked MD Bait-Ul-Mal and his team. “I will prove myself that we are no less than men and women of our society”, she said. She also thanked her colleague and transgender leader Nayyab Ali for the help in getting her the financial assistance from the government.

While speaking to ‘The Dayspring’ trans leader Nayyab Ali said that she feels contended seeing transgender community shining and today is another day when her efforts paid off. Thanking the government specially PBM she said that if such efforts continue the day is not far when the transgender community of Pakistan feels equally protected, respected and satisfied like other citizens of the country.
