The safety of women in Pakistan

Today,  I am writing this letter to draw your kind attention to the serious concern for WOMEN’S SAFETY IN PAKISTAN. The recent event in my locality made me hand-tied to bring this matter under the light.

A 12-year-old girl who was happily without knowing a tragic incident is going to happen to her, coming back from the school allegedly assaulted in gang rap by three to four boys of age between 25 to 30 in daylight. Her family bears many hardships regarding the girl and her therapy to come out of that incident. If this is going on in light of the day, it will become extremely unsafe for women to go out at night. Every day we come across many headlines on these issues that throw back heightened crime at the back of it is the lack of strong laws. The government should undertake drastic measures to put an end to crime against women. There should be a session on basic education about sexual harassment for primary students, a women’s self-defense camp, and awareness. I am confident that concerned Pakistani authorities awake and arise in favor of the security of women.
