Child Abuse Eradication

Letter to EditorChild Abuse Eradication

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and child abuse is an issue which is increasing at an alarming rate.

Children are being physically, mentally, emotionally and sexually abused on daily basis and they are too afraid to speak about it. This is mainly because they realize that the adults around them are going to beat them or will react angrily and will make them isolate (mainly in case of girls as in such cases instead of supporting them they are made sit at home and do nothing).

Child abuse endangers the health and welfare of children. It leaves deep scars on a child’s body and mind.

We should not let any more of our children suffer because of our silence and for this government should work on giving support to families for example education on parenting classes would help parents control their anger instead of taking all their anger out on their child when he or she comes with an incident of abuse.
