Embassy of Turkmenistan Organizes Colorful Rally to Celebrate World Bicycle Day in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: In celebration of World Bicycle Day on June 3rd, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad arranged a vibrant rally, attracting a multitude of participants including ambassadors, women, and children. The enthusiastic cyclists embarked on a pedal-powered journey from D-Chowk to Serena Hotel on Saturday evening.

Ambassador Atadjan Movlamov, representing Turkmenistan, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the event in promoting awareness about the numerous benefits of cycling. He credited his country’s efforts for the United Nations’ designation of June 3rd as World Bicycle Day.

During the occasion, Mr. Aziz Boolani, CEO of Serena Hotels, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to cultivating an eco-friendly environment. He highlighted recent initiatives undertaken by Serena Hotels, such as the plantation of 600,000 trees across Pakistan, the establishment of a sewerage treatment plant, and the construction of new hotels in alignment with the International Finance Corporation’s EDGE Certification guidelines. Mr. Boolani expressed his gratitude to all participants for their invaluable support in making the event a resounding success.
