Global UGRAD Program Bids Farewell After 15 Years of Empowering Pakistani Students

NEWS DESK

ISLAMABAD: The U.S. Department of State has informed the U.S. Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) that the highly regarded Global Undergraduate Exchange Program for Pakistan (Global UGRAD) will no longer be offered, marking the end of a 15-year-long chapter.

The program, which has helped thousands of Pakistani students embark on transformative academic journeys, was known for promoting academic growth, cultural exchange, and leadership development. For over a decade, it provided life-changing opportunities for students, enriching both their personal and professional development while contributing to the communities they interacted with.

“We understand that this news may be disappointing, especially for those who have applied and were eager to join the program,” stated USEFP in an official announcement. “The Global UGRAD Program has made an indelible impact on its participants, and we are incredibly proud of its success over the years.”

Although the program’s end signifies the close of a significant chapter, USEFP urges students to remain optimistic and continue pursuing other academic and scholarship opportunities that may help fulfill their aspirations. The foundation thanked applicants for their interest and commitment to growth, emphasizing that there are still many other global exchange programs available to help Pakistani students reach their full potential.
