Labour class is vital for economic development; Amir Waheed

ISLAMABAD: President of Islamabad Founder Lions Club Sheikh Amir Waheed and Secretary Muhammad Naveed Malik in a joint statement on the occasion of Labour Day paid homage to the working class of the country and its services.

“Labour Day is a recognition of the importance of workers for the country’s economic development. Our religion emphasizes the principles of social justice and respect for the rights of the people and this day also reminds of those who sacrificed their lives for their rights” they said. Sheikh Amir Waheed and Mohammad Naveed Malik further said that the working class of the country is badly affected due to the coronavirus.

The closure of the construction industry, day-to-day operations and the industrial sector has had a direct impact on the working class. The working class has been more affected by the epidemic. He also distributed ration bags and Iftar dinner boxes among the workers.
