Ramazan & Tiktok

Tiktok which has become a new sensation among our youth is developed by a Chinese developer. I would say this isn’t just an app but a weapon. A weapon through which our youth has been mentally destroyed and become insane. Recently Feroz Khan (Actor) named it as “Digital Cancer” and I totally agreed to it. This app hasn’t just affected our youth but also the parents, domestic workers & the whole society. All the time they are scrolling their screens watching or making videos that are useless and promoting contemptible stuff.

This app not only diverted the intentions of our youngsters from education but defused their thinking capabilities. They left their school/colleges/Universities because they’re now so-called TikTok stars, so they don’t have time to focus on studies. Instead of spending that time in learning about new technologies & preparing themselves for future, seeking Allah (SWT) for His mercy to protect them from coronavirus; they waste them in making TikTok videos & attending meetups. Most of the young girls & boys and even aunties & uncles are busy in making shameful & offensive videos on this platform. They are using bad language & promoting inappropriate content.

I request to government & concerned authorities to take action on it and ban TikTok in Pakistan like other countries like US, Indonesia did. Also, this is the holy month of Ramadan we all should pray together and ask Allah for forgiveness. If the government want our youth to do something healthy for themselves and for future of Pakistan, they must take steps to ban this digital weapon so that youth can divert their intentions towards educational career & useful stuff.
