When the day would come when world realize that Muslims live matter. George Floyd’s barbaric demise turned into a strong provocation to stop racism against black people which has become a global issue now and peaceful and violent demonstration is taking place across the globe and his demise is being condemned and protested by people belonging from all walks of life. Even people demanded to close police department in the mania city where this sad incident transpired and new department with new name would be established which could ensure peoples ‘safety regardless of their color. Surprisingly, people’s demand has been accepted as demonstration is still underway all over the world. Any human’s murder is the slay of all of humanity but the question is why there is double standard to treat all of humanity likewise like when a black man dies it is protested and demonstrated across the globe which becomes a global issue while when a Muslim is assassinated anywhere in the world, world remain silent and if Muslims react or try to defend themselves they are called terrorist. In case of George Floyd’s murder by few police personnel, black as well as white people reacted so badly and harshly that they were seen looting valuables from shops and departmental stores in America and put police vehicles on fire but they were not called terrorist.
The way George Floyd was murdered by police personnel in America in the same why many Muslims have been assassinated by Israeli soldiers but very sadly world do not acknowledge the barbarism of Israeli soldiers and when the Muslims of Palestine try to defend themselves, they are called terrorist. The same pathetic situation prevails in Kashmir since long that Indian soldiers are forcefully trying to press the demand of Kashmiri Muslims for self-determination and when they try to defend themselves or fight for freedom, they are called terrorist by Indian government but again sadly world do not acknowledge the demand of Muslims of Kashmir justified and reckons that disputed territory of Indian occupied Kashmir be mutually resolved by themselves. What had been happening in Afghanistan by Russians and later on by Americans is not hidden from any country but still Muslims’ live do not matter for them. Many Muslims countries are facing the same situation and same behaviors of atrocities by law enforcement agencies in their own countries but Muslims’ live do not matter. Muslims in India are now facing massacre by RSS and Modi government but the world silently watching it because Muslims’ live do not matter. Rohingya Muslims’ genocide is one of the worst in the history of the world who were murdered and their women were raped but world’s silence is questionable. It is also reported that Rohingya Muslims were forced to drink their urine to stay alive in the custody as they were neither provided food to eat nor water to drink.
United nation and human rights organizations have so far failed to stop assassination and barbarism against Muslims in any country which were formed to ensure peace and coherence among different communities living together in any country. One black man’s demise can close police department in the city where he was brutally murdered then why not such organizations cannot be closed or restructured which have failed to stop innumerable killings of Muslims all over the world.
Apart from world’s behavior with Muslims across the globe is mainly because of Muslims themselves as they are not united the way black people have shown their unity that vehemently condemned protested and demonstrated the sad demise of George Floyd and they have become one voice that such racism would not be tolerated against black people as their life matters. This world is so cruel and one has to take and raise his voice to get his due rights otherwise this world would press your voice. Let’s realize the world that Muslims lives also matter and no racism, brutality, genocide and barbarism would be tolerated in future and if it happens so Muslims all over the world would stand for their rights as Muslims lives also matter.
The world should now stop double standard with Muslims and massacre against them and Muslims should now be united to stand otherwise such atrocities would prevail. Let’s realize the world now that Muslims lives also matter by showing unity as without unity world cannot realize it as it happened in case of George Floyd ‘case that if black people would have not protested and demonstrated, his murder would have been ignored.
