Excitement Builds as WBBL Season 9 Kicks Off with Prominent Players and Captains Ready for Action

Melbourne: General Manager, Big Bash Leagues Alistair Dobson, Ellyse Perry (Sydney Sixers), Georgia Wareham (Melbourne Renegades), Kim Garth (Melbourne Stars), Jemma Barsby (Adelaide Strikers) and Alana King (Perth Scorchers) are available below, as well as event overlay.

Talking to multicultural media, Ellyse Perry, Captain Sydney Sixers & Allana King, Captain Perth Scorchers expressed their excitement towards WBBL and said they look forward to the matches.

Ellyse Perry, Captain Sydney Sixers:

“Pretty excited and can’t wait to feature in the WBBL Season 09. Tremendous progress has been witnessed in global women’s cricket. Young players are getting more opportunities as compared to the last 10 years.”

Allana King, Captain Perth Scorchers:

“Started my journey from the backyard, grew up watching India and Australia cricket teams on television. I’m thrilled to be part of Perth Scorchers. We have a bunch of talented players in the squad. WBBL is the best part of the year for me to be honest”.

WBBL Season 9 consists of 8 teams.

The tournament commences on October 19, 2023 with the final showdown scheduled for December 2, 2023 at SCG.
