RISJA Honors Senior Journalist Faheem Anwar Khan for Outstanding Contributions

ISLAMABAD: Rawalpindi Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) celebrated the distinguished career of senior journalist and former RISJA President, Faheem Anwar Khan, at a special ceremony. The event, attended by prominent sports journalists, recognized Khan’s exceptional contributions to journalism and social services.

In a gathering of esteemed sports journalists, Faheem Anwar Khan was presented with a special award for his outstanding achievements in the field. The ceremony, held at a local hotel, included a special lunch for RISJA members and was attended by key figures such as RISJA President Afzal Javed, RISJA Secretary General Nasir Naqvi, and Senior Journalists Abdul Mohi Shah, Shehryar Khan, Zulfiqar Baig, Arsalan Shirazi, Sohail Raja, Zeeshan Qayyum, and Obaidur Rehman.

During the event, accolades were showered upon Faheem Anwar Khan for his exemplary services in journalism and his recent appointment as the chairman of the Pakistani chapter of the Turkish welfare organization, Yardimeli Türkiye.

Addressing the audience, RISJA President Afzal Javed expressed admiration for Faheem Anwar Khan, stating that his presence in the association is a significant honor. Javed emphasized that Khan’s guidance and support will play a crucial role in assisting Yardimeli Türkiye in its charitable endeavors.

Afzal Javed also announced future plans for RISJA, including the organization of various sports events, workshops, and healthy activities for journalists.

Senior RISJA member Abdul Mohi Shah commended Faheem Anwar Khan for his years of dedication to journalism, describing him as an icon in the sports journalism community. Shah praised Khan for consistently upholding truth and honesty throughout his journalistic career.

As a gesture of appreciation, mobile phones were distributed among select members of RISJA during the ceremony.

The event underscored the collective recognition and appreciation of Faheem Anwar Khan’s significant contributions to the field of journalism and his commitment to social welfare.
